Sunologi Inc. holds a Florida Certified Pool/Spa Contractor license (CPC1460937) alongside our building license, and we use it for one clear scope in Central Florida: pool equipment. Variable speed pump changeouts, pool heat pump installation, and equipment repair, permitted and wired correctly. We do not build or remodel pools, and we will say so on the phone too. Sunologi is part of the AllSolar family of companies, serving Florida homeowners since 1999.
What we do at the equipment pad
Variable speed pump changeouts, pool heat pump installation and replacement, filter and salt system replacement, timers and controls, and repair of leaking or failed equipment. Every changeout includes proper electrical bonding checks, new unions and valves where they make sense, and startup with the system running right in front of you.
What we do not do: new pool construction, resurfacing, or structural pool remodels. If you need a pool built or resurfaced, we will say so plainly and refer you to a pool builder partner we trust; our license covers that work, our crews focus elsewhere. Pool builders who want to be that partner can apply on our trade partners page.
What drives the price of equipment work
For pump changeouts the price follows the pump model and the condition of your pad plumbing and wiring. For heat pumps it follows heater size and the electrical circuit run from your panel. Florida energy code requires most replacement pool pumps above one horsepower to be variable speed, and the good news is that a variable speed pump commonly cuts pool circulation power use by half or more, so the changeout pays for itself over a few seasons. Every job is quoted flat, in writing, before we touch the pad.
Heat pump or solar for pool heating
Both work well in Central Florida, and honesty matters here because our family sells both. An electric heat pump heats on demand in any weather and costs money every month it runs. Solar pool heating costs more up front and then heats essentially for free. Heat pumps are our scope on this page; solar pool heating runs through AllSolar Energy, our sister company. Tell us how you use the pool and we will give you the straight comparison, whichever way it points.
Pool Equipment and Heating: common questions
Do you build or remodel pools?
No. Our CPC1460937 pool contractor license covers construction, but Sunologi deliberately limits pool work to equipment: pump changeouts, pool heat pumps, filters, and repairs. If you need a pool built or resurfaced, we will say so plainly and refer you to a pool builder partner we trust.
Is a variable speed pool pump worth it?
Yes, and in most Florida replacements it is also required. Florida energy code requires most replacement pumps above one horsepower to be variable speed. Running at lower speeds for longer, a variable speed pump commonly cuts pool circulation electricity use by half or more, which typically saves several hundred dollars a year in Central Florida.
What determines the cost of a pool heat pump installation?
Heater size and the electrical work needed at your pad are the two drivers; the dedicated circuit and the permit are part of the real number, not extras. Sizing matters more than brand: an undersized heater runs constantly and disappoints. We size to your pool volume and how you actually use it, then quote the whole installation flat and in writing.
Does replacing pool equipment need a permit in Florida?
Heat pump installations need an electrical permit, and many jurisdictions require a permit for pump changeouts as well. We pull whatever your county requires under our licenses, and the bonding and wiring get inspected. Equipment swapped with no permit and no bonding check is a common source of trouble at home sale time.
