What inverter driven means
A conventional air conditioner has one speed. It runs flat out until the thermostat is satisfied, shuts off, and starts again a few minutes later. All day.
An inverter driven system varies compressor speed instead. It runs long and slow at low power most of the day, and only ramps up when the house actually needs it.
That matters here for two reasons. Long slow run times pull far more moisture out of the air than short hard cycles, and a drier house feels cooler at the same thermostat setting. And the compressor spends most of its life at part load, which is where the efficiency actually lives.

That rating is the point. An entry level system meets code and stops there. Equipment in this class runs a variable speed compressor, holds a tighter temperature, and spends most of the year at part load instead of slamming on and off, which is both quieter and easier on the machine.
We specify from the load calculation and from your house, not from a price sheet. If a smaller or a different system is the right answer for your home, that is what we will quote.
Sizing, not guessing
We size from a load calculation on your actual house. Windows, orientation, insulation, duct work, ceiling height.
Not a rule of thumb per square foot. An oversized system short cycles, never runs long enough to dehumidify, and costs more to buy and more to run. Oversizing is the most common thing we find on a system somebody else installed.
How the job runs
Site visit first. We look at the existing equipment, the duct work, the electrical panel and the attic before anyone quotes a number.
Written scope. You get the equipment, the scope and the price in writing, from your actual home rather than a satellite photo.
Permitted and inspected. A change out is permitted work in Florida. We pull the permit and carry the job through inspection.
